A tool to use when life feels full

If you’ve been feeling the Holiday pressure, one of my favourite “holiday reset” tools is the 60-second nervous-system resetInhale for 4 seconds, exhale for 6 seconds — repeat 5 times.

That longer exhale is a calming signal to your body and will usually slow your heart rate, helping you feel more steadfast and present (even in the middle of a busy day). 

A holiday moment I won’t forget

A few years ago during the holidays, I watched someone in a checkout line quietly pay for the person behind them who came up short. No big announcement, just a simple, “I’ve got it.” 

The whole moment lasted for around 10 seconds…but the feeling of it lasted so much longer. 

It reminded me that holiday “magic” isn’t always the decorations or the perfect plan, magic is found in those small choices that make people feel seen. 

And if you’re the one who needs that kindness this season, I hope you feel it from me through this message.
