I hope your holiday season is off to a gentle start.

When winter ❄️ arrives and the days get shorter, I notice my usual routines shift. I move a little slower, crave more warmth, and find myself looking for tiny habits  that help my body relax at the end of the day.

For a lot of us, that “comfort moment” at 🌙 night might look like a mug of hot cocoa, a sweet latte, or a little dessert before bed. It feels cozy in the moment —but on the nights when we’re extra stressed or go to bed late, those choices don’t always leave our bodies feeling their best.

So I tried something simple that still keeps things ☕ warm and cozy: I started ending my day with a soothing cup of tea instead.

Why this tea became my “rest + rewind” ritual

This gentle mint tea gives a different kind of comfort. It’s warm, grounding, and helps my evenings feel more unrushed

There’s something almost therapeutic about preparing it:

  • the sound of boiling water
  • the warmth of the mug in your hands
  • the slow inhale of steam
  • that quiet moment before sleep

It stopped being “just a drink” and started feeling like a signal to my body: “Hey, today is done. You can rest now.” Nothing fancy—just a small, repeatable choice that helps me settle for the night.

Little wellness tidbit: The rest-and-rewind tea I’ve been sharing with my community has gentle ingredients like:

  • 5-HTP
  • lemon balm
  • magnesium
  • calming antioxidants

It’s melatonin-free, which I like, and the extra support for healthy aging is a nice bonus. It blends right into an evening routine—about 30 minutes before bed—as a cozy way to help the body unwind.

A gentle reminder for this season

This season can be a lot—more plans, more screens, different routines, and a faster pace, whether you’re in freezing temps or still in flip-flops.

Small habits, like a simple evening tea ritual, can help your body shift out of “rush mode” and into “rest mode.” It doesn’t have to be perfect—just a tiny, repeatable way to tell your body, “You can unwind now.”

If you’re curious which tea I’m using (and why I like it), email me and I’ll send you the details.

Warmly;
